We booked because my husband was excited about staying in a castle, and at night it was great with very few people around. The drive up is thrilling, not for nervous drivers! The bedroom felt dark and a bit depressing, perhaps just the castle vibe. Breakfast was average.

We never actually stayed at the hotel. At check‑in we were told the A/C in our room wasn’t working, so we were moved to another hotel a short walk away. They apologized and offered us breakfast, which we took; it was excellent. The hotel itself looked great from my walk around, with stunning mountain views and a nice spot inside the castle walls. Parking was convenient right next to the hotel.

We felts very welcomed by the staff, everyone was very nice and we had a lovely authentic free breakfast. Great value for money and awesome location right in Berat castle. Staff even did our washing free of charge. Nothing, although it was a bit of an adventure driving all the way up to the castle on the cobblestone with pedestrians
