There was a weird smell in the room

The room was outstanding, the ryokan vibe was incredible, and the bridge with the nature behind the hotel was stunning; the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the onsen was mesmerizing—I even went twice in one night, and my child adored it, making it a highlight of our trip. The price is quite premium, but I’d return if I could get a discount.

The hotel is a bit far from the station, but the onsen is good and the downstairs hot‑pot café is great. The room’s old fridge had a glass cup storage unit on top, and every time the fridge vibrated that glass unit made a loud noise, keeping me from sleeping well all night.

The onsen, amenities, and convenient food options were solid, but the room was older, smelled of cigarettes, and the bath towels were old.
