“A disappointing stay with rundown accommodations and sleepless nights due to constant barking dogs”
Nothing. I booked Boca Simon Vacation Curacao at the last minute after my flight from New York to Curaçao was confirmed following concerns about an approaching storm. The property was advertised as a 3-star hotel. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of booking without reading the reviews. The room was nothing like what I expected. The furniture was worn-out and looked as though it had been picked up from a dumpster. The bathroom was tiny, the shower was leaking and clogged, and the crooked bathroom door provided virtually no privacy. The kitchenette was basic, and the room was so unpleasant that we tried to spend as little time there as possible. However, the worst problem was the constant barking of dogs at a nearby house throughout the night. After four sleepless nights, we finally gave up and booked another hotel for the remaining four nights of our vacation. When we complained to the hotel staff, they admitted they knew about the barking but offered no solution, alternative room, or even an apology. One staff member even suggested shooting the dogs. Their attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. I give this hotel a score of just one out of ten only because that is the lowest rating possible. If I could give it zero, I would. Between the poor room conditions, sleepless nights, and terrible customer service, this was a thoroughly disappointing experience. I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.
