The room stank, there was no private washroom but a shared one; I asked for a room with a private washroom, yet Helena demanded extra money even though the description said it was private. The other room we saw also had a dirty washroom. I’ll never go there again, it was a waste of money. I asked for a refund and they only gave me a partial reimbursement.

We loved the place, and the bathroom was clean and comfortable.

We came from a rooftop tent, so the warmth of a house was nice. The bed was too short and sagged a lot, the pillows were too hard, and the linens and pillows were in different colors. Towels were separate and cost $5 each. On the weekend there were many different people in the house, so the owner had to vacuum the house at 9 am. The owner said, “Shoes off.”

The old house was nice, but ‘Banff Mountain House’ is advertised as if it were an Airbnb; I had assumed it was a hotel or at least a motel. I’m not a big fan of Airbnb or private homes, so I’m biased. I would change the wording…there is nothing ‘Banff or Mountain House’ about this property.
