The hotel was clean and the room had been recently updated. Loud cars raced up and down the road beside the hotel; it’s not the hotel’s fault but be aware of the busy street. Renovations were underway, so the hallway flooring was damaged, but that wasn’t a big deal. There was no free breakfast; an omelette cost $20, so we chose to eat at Cracker Barrel next door.

The staff and bartender were excellent, but there was no pool and everything seemed to be under construction. The pool not being operational was the main reason we booked the room.

I walked into the handicap entrance and the hall that leads to the front desk was completely dark, which made me feel uneasy. When I finally reached the room, the lighting was so dim that I couldn’t see the room number and had to call the desk for help. The staff didn’t offer any assistance; the man even asked if I had turned on the lights, sounding as if he was talking to a child. The bed itself was terrible.
