Gongsimga Hanok Guesthouse sits in central Seoul, just 800 m from Insadong and 2.2 km from Myeongdong shopping. Traditional Korean décor features Yo futon mats, air‑conditioned rooms, and private bathrooms. Guests enjoy free Wi‑Fi, a cosy lounge, common kitchen, and daily American breakfast. It’s 600 m from Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, and 20 km from Gimpo Airport.

A great location and lovely place to stay!

It was an authentic experience in a hanok, with warm hospitality and a perfect spot for walking to the palace and the traditional district. I enjoyed trying this type of accommodation, knowing ahead of time that it wouldn’t be very luxurious. The underfloor heating was very pleasant, especially for this time of year (October with temperatures between 10 and 20° and no rain). The only downside was the lack of storage space or shelves to put our things on, especially in the bathroom.

The place is somehow spectacular. Very simple, almost Spartan, but very authentic and cozy. The location is top. I can’t think of any real negatives.

The hanok is a traditional house turned into a cozy place to stay, and the breakfast was tasty; the spot is right in the middle of town. The downside is that for a single room for two people, the bathroom is in the shared area, which isn’t ideal.
