Park View

Thanks, George, for welcoming us early and arranging parking. Everything was wonderful except the bed sheets. The stay felt like a home away from home, and the breakfast was lovely—especially the boiled eggs in shell. The house sits right next to Grosvenor Park, the Chester Roman Amphitheatre, and St John the Baptist’s Church. It’s just a few minutes’ walk to Chester Rows, Chester Cathedral, the old city walls, and the River Dee, so almost everything is within walking distance. It’s a perfect base for exploring Chester. Highly recommended! Parking was a bit annoying, but George was very helpful.

“A perfect place to relax”

From booking to departure, everything was excellent. Communication with George the owner was great. The location is perfect, literally minutes from all of Chester’s attractions. The room was very comfortable, had everything we needed, plus extra toiletries and little extras that might have been forgotten when packing. A complimentary drink awaited us, along with tea and coffee. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept well. The breakfast the next morning was superb; we’re vegetarian, so it can be hit or miss elsewhere, but not here at Park View. This is the best breakfast we’ve ever had away from home. George and Theresa are perfect hosts, and we’re looking forward to returning. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was excellent, with a rich selection of everything you could wish for at breakfast. Mr. Rainford really knows how to create a welcoming atmosphere in his guesthouse. I liked everything.

“A lovely stay in Chester”

A charming home in a fantastic spot for exploring Chester, with a comfy room and a spacious, modern bathroom; George was an outstanding host and the breakfast was gorgeous, and there were no complaints.
