Hôtel Restaurant La Couronne in Roppenheim features a garden, terrace, and on-site restaurant. The hotel offers rooms with TV, telephone, and wardrobe, plus en-suite bathrooms with bath or shower. Guests enjoy free private parking, accessible rooms, and proximity to Roppenheim Train Station, Soufflenheim (10-minute drive), and Strasbourg (30-minute drive).

The hotel is small but very fine. The rooms are very nice. We only needed the room for sleeping, so size wasn’t an issue. The only downside was that the bed consisted of two single beds side by side. There are also rooms with a French bed; that can be requested via contact. The room with a bathroom/shower was very clean and quiet because the hotel is in the back part of the property. Breakfast is served in the large former restaurant at the front street. The menu included a boiled egg, sausage, cheese, yogurt and fruit. The highlight was the small French croissants, pain au chocolat… plus fresh baguette for sausage and cheese—delicious. Parking was available in front of the hotel in sufficient numbers. Will gladly return. Nothing negative.

Convenient location, excellent welcome at the Auberge across the road, but it was advertised as having a restaurant and it was closed, plus there was no lighting in the courtyard even though lights were around the accommodation.

The place is perfect for a layover on a long trip and/or after a hearty meal at the restaurant across the street. We weren’t first time visitors.
