Hostel Riad Maqam sits in Essaouira’s historic medina, a short eight‑minute walk from Plage d’Essaouira and 17 km from Mogador Airport. The property offers a private beach zone, sun terrace, lounge, games room, and indoor play area, all with free WiFi. Rooms feature private baths, dining areas, and wardrobes, while a shared kitchen and laundry keep guests self‑sufficient.

The hostel is basic but complete, clean, and without air conditioning. Everything was as I expected.

The breakfast is very good, hearty, and the décor is beautiful. The room is very clean and comfortable, and the staff are warm. The lockers are almost at ceiling level, with a dangerous ladder and are inconvenient. Ventilation is poor, no fan, and humidity is high inside. It’s quite noisy if you want to go to bed early, with sounds from the shared areas of the riad and music playing until about 23:30.

The atmosphere is very good. The breakfast is excellent and the staff are very friendly.

This hostel is wonderful! The team is super friendly, the facilities are great! Rooms and beds are comfortable with curtains! Clean and airy. Very well located. The breakfast is amazing! Highly recommend! No complaints.
