“Cheap, but I would have picked somewhere else”
Right in the city old town and close to basically everything you’d want to see in Tallinn. It’s nice that reception is open 24/7, and that you can leave your bag before check‑in and after check‑out if you’re early or exploring the city. The staff are very kind and polite. The hostel itself is a little labyrinthine inside, and the entrance is inside a courtyard not immediately recognizable from the street, with no name to guide you in, only a sign further into the yard saying “hostel.” The steps to the bunk beds (which are more like capsule hotels than actual bunks) are small and hard to climb to the top of. The sockets to charge electronic devices didn’t work either – I was lucky I had my power bank with me. There wasn’t even a proper surface in the room to place or store our things. The staff were very kind, although I had to wait long minutes for them to finish chatting with other customers without recognizing the priority properly. I wasn’t in a particular rush, but not even being acknowledged wasn’t very nice.
