The breakfast was good and well positioned, but the bedding had bedbugs on the indoor side of the mosquito net and the street noise was annoying.

The island location on the Loire was lovely, and we appreciated the extra room for luggage; however, the toilet seat and holder were broken, the bathroom light kept shutting off, the window wouldn’t open, the steps up to the room were uneven and steep and no help was offered for our bags, the express breakfast was poor, and the dining room felt gloomy.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a view of an enclosed garden, the beds and bath were pleasant, and the duck confit dinner was tasty, though a few more vegetables would have been nice; there were no negatives.
