Staying right under Bukovec gave us an amazing setting, and the beds were firm but comfortable. The half‑board option was a treat—especially those blueberry dumplings. There’s a spacious, lockable bike room with charging sockets, and the owners are very welcoming.

The chalet’s two biggest strengths are its location and the hosts. Nestled in Jizerka, the scenery is stunning and the operators are warm and chatty, which really lifts the overall vibe. Unfortunately the recent heat wave made the rooms stuffy; a fan would be a welcome addition for future guests.

The place was clean, but the owner’s attitude left a sour taste. Breakfast ran from 8 to 9 am, and checkout was supposed to be at 10 am per the reservation, yet the host started pounding on our door at 9:25 and insisted we leave by 9:30, pointing to a note that contradicted the agreed time. It felt like the rules were being changed on the spot.
