Costa do Castelo Lisbon Accomodation

The spot is well positioned near the castle, offering a calm and beautiful view of the miradouro. It was just fine.

I love the location, but the host forgot to mention the high humidity level in the room description, and the window shown in the photo actually faced the neighboring room instead of the outside. It didn’t seal at all—every snore, conversation, and other noise was audible. There was no Wi‑Fi and none of the guests had a connection. The hair dryer didn’t work. The doors made a horrible creaking sound, were old, and didn’t fit properly, so you had to slam them shut each time you entered or left to lock them. I booked three nights, but the damp and stale smell was so unbearable that I had to sleep the second night elsewhere, paying for that accommodation myself. I would not recommend this place until the host fixes these issues and makes it a place suitable for sleeping. I’ve attached photos of the wall dampness and the only window that looked out onto the adjacent room.

“Not worth the cost”

The location was fine, but there was no air conditioning, only one towel, the bathroom door wouldn’t close unless forced, and the chair was in bad shape.

The kitchen and location were great, but the doors were so noisy and hard to open that it was a nuisance every time I needed to ask for or open them. There was also a lack of toilet paper.

The location was good. The bed was moderately comfortable, the room felt a bit vintage, and the shared bathroom wasn't very clean.
