“Non-existent due to the property being flooded!”

I received an extremely nice welcome email with useful information upon booking, which was very promising. My partner tried to book us in but the property had been flooded, so we couldn’t stay there and couldn’t give a review. We weren’t warned in advance about the flood (not sure when or how quickly it happened), and my partner drove over two hours to get here. We were left without accommodation. They suggested a hotel a round the corner, but it was chaotic when my partner arrived to try to check in there, so we couldn’t stay anywhere near our intended location.

“Utterly pathetic poor customer service and I didn’t have the chance to sample the venue or room so I cannot comment”

I booked this property six months ahead for work stays around London, but when I arrived there was a large wake with people everywhere. After unloading my overnight case and day bags, I was told by a very rude lady behind the bar that there were no rooms because of a burst main and that I hadn’t received a message about unavailability. I looked into her eyes and said I didn’t believe her; she had just bumped me out of the room because of the wake. The upstairs rooms were indeed unavailable due to the burst main, but the downstairs rooms, where all the people were, showed no signs of water damage, smell, smoke, or any other damage. They cancelled my room because they were full of people for a wake, which is totally unacceptable. The staff had no courtesy to tell the truth or offer alternative accommodation; they simply told me to find somewhere else. When I asked if they could book me elsewhere, the obnoxious lady said that was up to me, not them.

“The establishment is run by efficient, diligent and kind-hearted human beings; thank you.”

The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Because of circumstances beyond everyone’s control, my accommodation contract could not be performed, but a sweet, helpful, and extremely kind‑hearted staff member, Ms Claire, sat with me to find another place and walked me to the door. Wonderful, beyond the call of duty; I’m truly grateful.

I was booked, but they cancelled us on the way there, even though the area looked nice and the pub was busy.

I booked a room for one night, but when I arrived late in the evening I was told there was a leak and all rooms were inaccessible; no prior communication or compensation was offered. The manager offered to help me find another place to stay but didn’t compensate me for the inconvenience, the stress, or the extra money I paid for the hotel room booked at short notice, and not even a drink was offered—extremely poor service.
