Hotel Gasthaus Hergiswald

The restaurant is solid and the few rooms are cozy. The location offers a stunning view of Lucerne and the lake, and the chapel across the street is both intriguing and pretty. The nearby hills and woodlands provide lovely walks, and getting to Lucerne and the surrounding area is hassle‑free, even with a bus that stops right by the hotel. The staff are friendly and attentive, and there’s nothing else to complain about.

“Great hotel you should visit!”

A wonderful hotel located high up the mountainside with beautiful views down the valley. The evening meal was excellent and the chef came around all the diners and spoke in different languages to each table(including english for us). The breakfast was again exceptional and very well presented. All the staff were very welcoming. The hotel although built around 2019 is traditional in style but internally has nice modern detailing. The bedroom and ensuite were very well presented. Nothing, but be prepared for a few hair pin bends to get to the hotel, but it is Switzerland!

The view is perfect, the staff are courteous, and breakfast is gorgeous at the time you set. The room is large and spacious, just about a 20‑minute drive from Lucerne’s center. The lighting isn’t bright enough, so if you need to arrange luggage it’s not sufficient.

“Hat unser Wochenende verschönert :)”

The special location near a chapel, the architectural concept with lots of wood, the nice family room, and the extremely friendly staff made for a great stay, and there was nothing to complain about.
