The place is well situated, run by a family, with a lovely bar offering a huge variety of drinks, comfy beds, a reasonably priced breakfast, and very friendly, helpful hosts. The nearby restaurant, The Causserie on the high street, is fantastic and requires booking in advance.

It was our starting point for the Cateran trail, the hotel is close to the bus stop, and we were greeted by the friendly owner. The rooms were nice and the breakfast gave us the energy to tackle the first walk 😄. Highly recommended as a great place to stay and explore the beautiful area.

It was fashionable and cozy at the same time, with everyone super helpful; the receptionist gave us perfect recommendations for nearby sights. Breakfast wasn’t included in the price, but we paid for it and it was definitely worth it. The bathroom felt a bit “eclectic” – white and green tiles with a leopard‑patterned curtain looked odd.
