“Try harder”

The view is beautiful, the place looks pretty clean, and the location is great. The reception asked if I wanted a complimentary upgrade, and when I said yes she said it was 50 Swiss francs? She was not friendly. The hotel has no atmosphere from the staff. Housekeeping isn’t good. There was no water replenishment in the rooms. The hotel feels tired and the rooms are old. They seem to have a captive market with IMD and make no effort at all. I ordered poached eggs that tasted of vinegar. Generally, Movenpick should try harder. It is not worth the room rate.

“Gutes Hotel für einen Aufenthalt in Lausanne von enigen Tagen-”

The newer rooms in the annex are very well placed, quite quiet. There is still a muffled noise from the Seestrasse, but it’s no longer really disturbing. The location very close to the lake is actually great: near the piers of the Lac Léman ships, and only a few minutes from the metro station and bus stops. The restaurant could use a “facelift” to make it a bit cozier.

“Bon séjour et très bon hôtel confortable”

We liked the location by the lake, the facilities and the comfort of the room. The restaurant’s prices were very high.
