The room was great and close to Meppel's center, spotlessly clean, and parking behind the hotel was free; the staff were friendly at breakfast. However, there was no reception, so we had no personal contact upon arrival, and the bathroom felt a bit cramped but still had everything needed.

The location is convenient for train travelers and just a few minutes' walk to the city center, with two supermarkets only 100 m away; the breakfast was excellent, and they kindly provided gluten‑free items. The staff were attentive. On the downside, the shower placement made it uncomfortable to use, the TV in the room obstructed the doorway, and cars parked right outside our window block the parking area.

The room was spacious and it was quiet at night; the location was ideal.
