“J'ai passé une nuit dans une chambre avec balcon et vue sur le lac.”

The hotel was gorgeous, the staff were adorable, and the setting felt like a real escape. I had a room with a view of the pond, although I couldn’t enjoy it because it was raining and cold. Breakfast offered a decent selection, though I’d have liked more charcuterie and some salmon. At 8 am, a leaf blower was running under the room. The table linens were too large and spilled onto the floor, so you have to watch where you step.

The location was beautiful. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed, but the very helpful receptionist gave us a good alternative. We ordered a meal at a village restaurant and ate it in the hotel’s dining room, using the hotel’s cutlery and drinks from the hotel bar.

Everything was perfect; I can’t wait to come back, and I hope for a longer stay.

“Enjoyable stay, very friendly staff, excellent restaurant.”

The walk‑in shower was superb, the lake view was excellent, and the shower room had a separate toilet. The heated towel rail worked well, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was excellent. The room lacked an extractor fan in the toilet, and the lift was broken, which was disappointing for my wife who has limited mobility, though the room was close to the stairs so it wasn’t a huge issue. There was no fridge in the room, and the blind behind the balcony door was extremely heavy to operate.
