Guest house 902 Črnivec

Before heading to the spot we wanted to reach, we stopped for a proper meal and spotted Gostice GTC 902 on the way, so we went in. The slowenian cuisine was absolutely wonderful, the staff lovely, and the price‑value ratio truly fair. We didn’t pay much attention to our navigation because we were too hungry and tired to focus on our ultimate goal in the “wild.” Only after the meal, when we tried to find the spot again, did we realize we had actually reached it. All in all, we were completely satisfied. The other positive reviews, which all hold true, can be found in the other comments. On the downside, there’s nothing to complain about. If you’re looking for a grocery store, the nearest one is about 10 km away, so plan ahead! Otherwise, the surrounding nature is pure.

The location was good for day trips, and the staff were friendly and accommodating; the rooms were clean and practical, with all installations working perfectly. However, there was little traffic, yet it was still noticeably audible—which isn’t a surprise given the location. A small drawback was that the bedside reading light couldn’t be switched separately for both sleeping spots.

The surroundings were beautiful, the rooms comfortable, clean, and well‑furnished (with a fridge and water heater), the breakfast was plentiful, the staff were friendly, parking was free, there were deer sightings, goat grazing, and hiking opportunities. The initial steep climb to reach the hotel was shocking, but it gets easier with time.

Close to the train platform, the breakfast was excellent. I forgot a key in the room, and the owner kindly brought it to me on his motorcycle for the train.
