“A beautiful and very family-friendly resort where our son had an amazing time — a great choice for families visiting Mon”
We really enjoyed our stay at Green Crown Resort. The gers were modern, comfortable and beautifully designed, and the whole resort was very family-friendly. There were plenty of opportunities for children to play and run around, which our son absolutely loved. The location was also very convenient, with several attractions and activities nearby, including horse riding. The staff were friendly, welcoming and always helpful. The gers were only fully cleaned at check-in and check-out, although fresh towels were provided daily. We would have appreciated some light housekeeping during our stay. The food selection at the restaurant was also quite limited. We stayed during festival season, and it could get very loud until late at night. As gers naturally have very little sound insulation, music and noise can travel surprisingly far across the open steppe. This is not really something the resort can control, but light sleepers might prefer staying in one of the cabins during busy festival periods
The spot in Terelj is charming and the little houses are cute, but unfortunately the staff don’t speak English and many items on the restaurant menu weren’t available.
“Отлично провели время, в ресторане очень вкусно накормили, персонал вежливый и учтивый.”
The location was great; we booked two cabins, which were convenient, tidy and comfortable.
“What a disappointment”
When I requested horseback riding, they arranged transportation to a nearby riding spot for me. However, I was saddened to see the staff there hitting the horses. It took more than three months of back-and-forth communication to arrange the taxi transfers, and then, at the last minute, I was charged twice the originally quoted price. To make matters worse, the driver did not show up on the day, and despite the hotel having previously proposed that payment be made after all the rides were completed, we were suddenly told to pay in advance. When we arrived at the hotel, we were not even greeted by the staff. We were simply taken to our room by someone who could not even say hello. We were given absolutely no information about breakfast, such as where or when it was served. The restaurant staff did not understand basic English words such as “water,” “beef,” “chicken,” or “pork,” which made ordering extremely difficult. After finally managing to place our order, we were then told that most of the items on the menu were unavailable. The hotel had told us by message that chicken was available, but it turned out that it wasn’t, leaving us with almost no options. What shocked me most was that the hotel did not even have bottled water for sale. We had no choice but to buy four bottles of overpriced sparkling water and some juice. This was the first time I had ever stayed at a hotel that did not even stock drinking water. There was also no convenience store nearby, so we simply had to endure being thirsty. At breakfast, I ordered the coffee listed on the menu, only to be told that they did not have that either. There were extremely bright lights shining everywhere around the property, so we could not see the night sky we had hoped for. The room door lock was also broken and could not be properly locked, which made us feel unsafe at night. Although the bathroom initially looked clean, the shower-room door was broken, and the drainage was so poor that the entire washroom flooded while we were showering. Even at checkout, there was not a single staff member who could even say “thank you.”
“Приедем еще!”
The setting is beautiful, the cabins are luxurious and the bedding is clean; the staff are knowledgeable and understanding, and they even fed us after the restaurant had closed.
