The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always trying to help with any questions we had. The location was perfect, right near Plaça de Catalunya, close to La Rambla and many Barcelona tourist spots. The bathroom was tiny, with only two shower cubicles and two male toilets, and it was far from the rooms—you have to cross the whole hostel to get there.

I paid about €500 for two nights at what was labeled a hostel, and it turned out to be outrageously pricey. The staff were friendly, but two guys were completely uncooperative. The place was filthy—dirty sheets and dusty curtains everywhere. The other guests stayed on the balcony all night, making noise that ruined our sleep, and there were no air conditioners, tissues, or proper cupboards, just a barebones setup.

A cheap hostel in central Barcelona. They charged me the tourist tax for a night I didn’t stay, even after I pointed out that the law says I shouldn’t have to pay it.
