“Took my money and turn away the boyfriend whom I paid for the room for”

The staff turned my boyfriend away even though I had paid for his room, kept my money, and he ended up sleeping in his car; they never refunded me.

Nothing really stood out positively. The bed was terrible, food was served in the lobby but no utensils were provided when buying anything, the AC cycled on and off, and I’ll never return; I paid $400 for a stay that could have been at Boston Harbor for the same price.

“Stayed because it was the hotel blocked for a wedding. Wouldn't pay the prices otherwise.”

I was staying for a wedding in Newburyport, so the spot was spot‑on. The free breakfast buffet had a decent spread and plenty of seating. However, after dropping our bags and rushing to the rehearsal dinner, we discovered the hotel door lock was broken and had to leave the room unlocked; the front desk promised to fix it but a text later said it couldn’t be repaired. We had to repack and change rooms after 10 pm when we returned. The bathroom’s barn door offered no privacy, and overall the place felt way overpriced for what it delivered; I wouldn’t pay more than $400 a night for this hotel.
