The breakfast was very good for just 15 € per person. The location near the Arche Nebra and for hikes was great, and it was very quiet. We were surprised by the weekend room price, which was almost double the weekday rate.

Our room on the second floor was very nice and the setting was idyllic, though guests should note the many high steps and hope that luggage will be carried up for older visitors. Breakfast was acceptable but didn’t match the price; there were only Tetra Pak eggs instead of fresh fried ones, which feels more like a youth hostel than a hotel, and the coffee didn’t impress me. The rolls were pre‑baked, the overall experience was quite ordinary, and we would have liked to sit outside for breakfast in the nice weather, but that option wasn’t offered. The windows were sealed shut, so they couldn’t be opened during breakfast. While I understand the estate is expensive to maintain, I’d rather pay a bit more for a setting that makes me feel truly cared for, especially when the hotel is so beautiful.

When I arrived to check in at 21:00, the hotel was closed despite a sign stating the hotel/restaurant is staffed until 22:00. It was extremely hard to find another place that night, and I had to drive about 50 minutes to a different hotel, which is unacceptable; I expect not only a refund but also compensation.
