“Hotel OK but the administration absolute dsaster.”
I’d expected a standard hotel experience, nothing special. The online check‑in was a nightmare: I had to scan my ID, take a selfie with it, fill out a long form, and repeat the whole thing even though I’d stayed there before. When I tried to buy breakfast for my colleague, I was charged twice because I didn’t get a confirmation after the first payment, so I thought it failed and paid again. Later I saw both payments had gone through. At breakfast, neither my colleague nor I were listed in the system, so I had to show a bank statement to prove we paid. The digital key system was another hassle; I received a flood of emails and had to hunt for the link each time I wanted to open a door. Digitalisation should simplify things, but it made my stay a series of frustrating admin and tech problems. A simple check‑in, payment confirmation, and a traditional key would have been better.
