An absolutely beautiful place. The continental breakfast was wonderful. The hosts lit a fire, making the room very warm and cozy. Overall, excellent value for money. Peg and her lovely cat were exceptionally friendly. It was a 10/10 experience, and I highly recommend this character-filled spot when you’re in Tauranga.

We received a very warm welcome once we finally located the place (Google directions were a bit off). Each of us was handed two bath towels for our two‑night stay, though we only used one. The bed was comfortable, and the surroundings were quiet and peaceful. Walking to bars and restaurants was easy, and the breakfast was adequate. The property feels a bit tired and could use some TLC—there’s a patch of paint peeling from the bathroom ceiling and frayed carpet on the stairs—but that didn’t take away from a very comfortable stay.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, even letting me check in about half an hour early even though it was a last‑minute booking. Everything else was fine.
