The food, the pools, and the beach were great, yet the renovations meant some restaurants were closed, staff were moving materials around, certain areas were off limits because of a strong tinny smell, and we were left without a lifeguard for four hours one day.

Garry was the best staff member I encountered, while the food was decent but not outstanding.

The place is beautiful, the pools and common areas are very clean, and being able to access the restaurants at both hotels is a big plus. The rooms are huge but lack décor—no artwork at all—making them look old‑fashioned. The pillows are too high; I’d suggest offering different types so guests can choose.

The hotel is truly spectacular in every way—good facilities, excellent food and drinks, and very attentive staff—so the negative reviews I read before my visit were misleading. I was pleasantly surprised. The only downside is that they require guests to wear long pants in the restaurants.
