The bed was truly comfortable and the location was excellent, right in the center. The front‑desk guy was charming, super kind and attentive all the time! However, the room had a noticeable damp odor. We had a booking issue elsewhere, so we booked here on the fly. When we entered the room, I sensed a slight damp smell (I’ve worked in two hotels before, so I thought maybe the room was cleaned quickly and the heat trapped the smell when the door closed). We only dropped off luggage and came back at night. After keeping the room closed all afternoon, the smell became unbearable. An asthmatic or allergic person would not have slept there. On top of that, our room was on floor 0, next to the courtyard, with only a few windows at the very top of the ceiling, making ventilation difficult… we had to leave the windows open, but guests arriving early in the morning woke us several times, some even smoked in the courtyard and talked.
