“Very disappointed hotel in need of a total refurbishment”

The staff were wonderful, especially the lady who served breakfast, and the breakfast itself was excellent; however, the rooms—particularly the bathrooms—were worn, outdated, and dirty, far beyond their sell‑by date.

A Pakistani staff member was fantastic, handling reception, the bar, and food service; the TV wouldn’t turn on, but that was a minor issue.

The staff and pub were great; on arrival, one staff member managed reception, the bar, and food service, which felt unfair to him; the pub food was lovely. The hotel itself was very old and had a strange odor, a mix of damp and sewage.

The interior was nicely decorated, clean, with a comfortable bed and friendly staff; the food quality was good; the only downside was that I kept asking for a hairdryer and never got one.

“Worst hotel we have ever stayed”

The property needs a complete overhaul; the only bright spot was a young man who checked in customers and ran the bar alone. The room was freezing, filthy, and smelly, paint and paper were peeling, the carpet had dirty stains, there was no hook for a shower, and it was too cold to undress, so we left at 6 this morning.
