The setting was stunning, right in the middle of nature, and our host was incredibly kind and accommodating. The food was also top-notch, but what really stood out was the warmth and hospitality of our host. However, there was a bit of a problem with transparency when it came to the costs - the dinner prices and the boat fees to get to the place were way more than we expected, and it added up quickly.

This homestay on a tiny island is a real gem, but be prepared for some logistical challenges. The only way to get around is by boat, which costs around 300,000 VND per trip, and the hostess, Liam, has a small boat that she uses to bring you to the other side of the river. The island itself is peaceful and surrounded by breathtaking nature, but there's not much to do without the boats. The meals are delicious, but be prepared for some extra costs on top of the room price.

This little gem of a place was a real treat. Our host Lien was a sweetheart, always happy to share her knowledge of the local area and chat with us about everything from the best restaurants to the hidden gems of the town. She even upgraded our room at no extra cost, which had a stunning view of the lake - it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The food was top-notch too, and we enjoyed every meal we had there. I'd definitely come back and stay here again.
