Hotel Restaurant Teichaue

The restaurant closes at 21:30, and breakfast is always just pre‑baked rolls, even on weekdays.

“Für drei Nächte geht es.”

We arrived as an independent group on Monday, 12.10. There were neither enough rolls nor eggs (cooked or scrambled) available. We had to request black tea bags. In room 9, dust threads hung from the ceiling, and the bed was soft and very low.

“Karben”

The location is excellent and very relaxing. A small fridge would be useful in the room, and the television is outdated.

“Alt, verwöhnt, Renovierung nötig”

Room number 7: I can’t think of anything positive about it. The floor was spotted, the shower had black seams (mould?), the sink didn’t drain properly—so I didn’t bother checking further. The toilet was barely acceptable, the floor in the bathroom was slightly spotted, the bed frame was old and dented, the mattress was older and had hair here and there, and a lamp over the bed was broken. When we asked about it, our request was ignored and the lamp stayed broken. The floor on the balcony was partially broken/rotted. Three nights in the double room cost 293 €, but given the condition it was worth a maximum of 100 €. We stayed because we had a quasi‑emergency in Lüneburg and there was nothing else available, but the hotel’s current state is not recommended.
