Comfortable and clean. Easy driving distance to Carlisle. Everything was lovely

It was a good location for a stop off from Scotland to the South. The room was large, comfortable, and had kind touches such as water, teas, local information and binoculars! We liked having a table and chairs as well as the bed. The atmosphere was relaxed and we felt at ease. Breakfast was a help yourself arrangement to toast, cereals, fruit, croissants which suited us well. Annie made sure we had what we needed to make stay good, such as getting oat milk for us, and was responsive to queries. We were greeted by her sister as she was working, and she was very good at showing us what was where and we enjoyed chatting with her. It was only a 5 minute drive into Carlisle so we were able to see a bit of the City too

I loved everything about Newby Cross guest house. It was immaculate, homely, the beds and linen were of good quality, and the location was very good too. The host Anne is very welcoming and absolutely beautiful, such a lovely person—I’m looking forward to my next stay.
