I was upgraded to the Treeshades room, which turned out to be a great spot, but the room I ended up in was right next to the bar/restaurant, and at 07:00 am they started blasting loud music that made it hard to sleep.

The room was roomy and comfortable, and the private terrace and kitchen let us cook breakfast on our own; it was quiet yet still in the heart of town with everything within walking distance, but the bathroom would flood every time we showered, which is not uncommon in Asia.

“Very disappointed.”

The location was decent—just one street away from the busy area—and the air‑con worked well; the staff on the grounds were friendly, but the bed sheets were too loose, the room had no storage or seating, the curtains were cheap and let in light, the bathroom was tiny with weak shower pressure, and we were only given one sachet of shampoo and shower gel for two nights; a 2000 peso deposit was demanded and could not be paid by credit card; the pool was nice but overcrowded with kids and sunbeds were rarely available; the beach access was filthy with litter and mud, the room wasn’t cleaned daily even though we didn’t request it, construction was ongoing from 6 am to 10 pm, and a strange Korean woman who seemed in charge sat on a chair all day watching the workers, which was bizarre.

“Great place”

The hotel’s location is good, the area is quiet yet within walking distance of the main road, and the rooms are comfortable; there were no complaints.

The hotel is very close to the main road but far enough to stay quiet, and the rooms are spacious; however, the pillows were uncomfortable, the Wi‑Fi was terrible—slow and unstable—and I’m certain there was a dead animal in one of the outside kitchen cabinets, which gave off a strong odor; the rooms were not cleaned.
