“Szálláshely a szállásadó otthonában”

The place sits in a nice setting with a pleasant layout, but it would have been better if the host had indicated on the booking site that the accommodation is the host’s home. We booked a private stay, yet the host was literally in our corner and we had to keep talking to him. We came to relax at this “beautiful spot” and not to play with a chatty partner.

The garden is tidy and the house and pool are clean, yet it isn’t a separate apartment as the description doesn’t make that clear. The owner lives at the base of the building and constantly supervises guests, communicating in an unprofessional style. He pulls chairs out of the garden or moves the gas cylinder from the only usable kitchen without any coordination. Using the Jacuzzi is an extra charge that isn’t clarified, and only the owner can operate it. Because of his presence there’s no private space; he keeps packing in the “common areas,” which should be considered when booking.

The owner lives on the ground floor with four dogs and two cats, is always around the pool, and interferes with everything, checking everything. The animals come in and out, and the owner uses the pool with guests, so there’s no privacy. We accepted the dog at booking, but we didn’t know he had four, and all of them were outside in the guest garden. He disliked ours. His mood swings were unpredictable.

Maria was an extremely attentive host. I can only use superlatives to describe her. The accommodation was very clean, well arranged, and the garden was magical.
