The location near the airport is great, and the noise from planes is hardly noticeable. The property is very beautiful, designed like a small oasis with a lot of attention to detail. Dinner and breakfast are varied and very good. The communication about arranging the shuttle was a bit clunky.

The staff were very kind and the hotel itself was fine. However, the second room we received during our two stays in two weeks was dirty: the floor was covered in long hair, the sheets—though laundered—had stains, a hand towel was filthy, some pillowcases were torn, and a towel was ripped and felt very thin, showing clear wear. They really need to replace the linens and towels. The dinner buffet wasn’t very varied, although the food that was offered tasted good.

Sunrock Guesthouse feels like an oasis just a short walk from the airport; the gardens are gorgeous and well kept, the rooms are spacious and cozy, and the buffet meals are tasty and very filling. For relaxation, the hotel supplies a pool, a gym, and a billiard room. Another plus is the free transport to and from the airport. The staff are very friendly. A highly recommended address. It was a bit chilly in the rooms during August.

What a wonderful hotel near Johannesburg’s airport. The hotel offers a free shuttle service and great service! Our family room was huge, with excellent beds, a good shower, and a separate toilet in the bathroom. The staff were incredibly friendly. The heated pool is a luxury! Before arrival we received a message asking if we wanted to reserve the buffet they served. The food was fine, not super extensive but more than enough to fill your belly. Breakfast was tasty! The bar/restaurant is super atmospheric and the accommodation has a beautifully tended garden. I can really recommend this hotel to anyone! The next day we were again taken by shuttle to the airport.
