“The property has a beautiful location and views, but for the price, I expected a much higher level”
The view from the room was amazing and the beach was outstanding, and the restaurant also offered a beautiful view. I got quick, helpful responses right after I arrived. However, the price was too high for what the hotel offered; I ended up paying about $4,000 for an 8‑day stay, which included the room and food. The elevators were old and often out of order, and the restaurant was extremely pricey with very few nearby alternatives. I accidentally booked the wrong room and the hotel wouldn’t help me change it, so I had to pay an extra $400. Staff service varied: some employees openly showed frustration with their jobs, while the beach servers were sometimes overly pushy. The lobby smelled strongly of cheap cleaning chemicals, the rooms were not very clean, and soundproofing between rooms was poor. The lazy river was broken during my visit and I wasn’t told about it beforehand. Another annoyance was the automatic 22 % gratuity, yet staff still asked if I wanted to add more tips.
