The room rate covers breakfast and dinner, and the location is good. Unfortunately, red ants were on the bed and bit me while I was sleeping.

Location, the host’s readiness to help with issues, assistance with luggage and transfer to the pier. Room size and terrace. Café at the hotel. Unfortunately some sockets in the room didn’t work, hot water wasn’t always available. The air conditioner broke and took a long time to fix.

The rooms had a lot of character and were just around the corner from the excellent on‑site restaurant. Cleaning was done to a high standard every three days. The bathroom, however, is open with no ceiling above the shower, so when it rains heavily—which is common—the floor and bathroom accessories on the countertop, including the toilet paper, can get soaking wet. During our two nights we had to deal with the backup generator clunking through the night, but the issue was noted and fixed. Otherwise, it was blissfully quiet with effective air conditioning.

Words can’t capture this place; I truly recommend it to anyone wanting a Maldives‑style vacation in a guesthouse. The rooms are stunning, the island and Bikini Beach unforgettable. I’ve seen sunsets I’ll carry in my heart forever, plus dozens of manta rays at Hanifaru. A fantastic vacation, thank you! No flaw could be found.
