“Excellent hotel at a fair price”
A seasoned traveler would love this place: the rooms are spacious, the mattress firm, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The kitchen is excellent, serving tasty, easy‑to‑digest food that, while a bit pricey, justifies itself with quality and experience. The location outside the main areas is a blessing, offering low traffic and reduced air and noise pollution. The kitchen deserves a special mention for listening to customers’ specific needs and delivering exactly that. Overall, a very good stay, especially considering the low overall quality of hotels and Airbnbs in the Guwahati area. There’s nothing I’d truly dislike, but a few suggestions for improvement: strong smells from the cleaning liquids used by housekeeping linger in the room, so I had to air it out for two hours to get rid of it; the towels also carried a strong chemical detergent scent, though the bed linen was fine. The oil smell from the live breakfast counter seeps into the common areas on the 1st and 2nd floors, so better ventilation would help. I’d also recommend shifting in‑room dining from the common areas to late night rather than morning if possible. The AC and TV could be better, but they didn’t bother me at all.
