The Bull Hotel; Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

“Once you are inside the hotel it is nice dark and cosy , the staff are efficient and friendly, room cleaning could stand”

The interior was much nicer than I expected, but parking was hard to locate, the site gave the wrong postcode, and the email link led to the front of the hotel where no one answered the phone—so I had to wander around a dodgy area to find the place.

“Very comfortable…”

Breakfast was very nice and the staff were friendly, though the bathroom felt a bit outdated.

Great value and excellent pub attached. Maybe not the best area or Peterborough have felt safer after dark in other places

“Good location and clean”

I liked the breakfast, the location, and the cleanliness, but the room was nothing like the photo on the website; the kettle and iron had peeled cords that could be a fire risk, the heated towel rail was broken, and there was no safe even though the description promised one. The TV had no internet, the windows opened onto an indoor patio with the building’s heating system, and a tall lady at reception didn’t take my concerns seriously until a colleague stepped in to note the faults and try to fix them. The room was also smaller than advertised.

“Great place to stay!”

The location was great—I wanted to be near the Cathedral, and the bar area and all the staff were nice; overall I enjoyed my stay and would return. We stayed at the front of the property, the room was fantastic, but it was quite noisy at night—people in Peterborough can party! I woke up a few times, not the hotel’s fault, just a heads‑up about possible noise.
