“Clean and convenient, but with a few issues”

The location was very convenient for us because we were travelling by public transport. It is about a 10-minute walk from Chungju train station and also very close to the local bus depot, which was especially useful for our trip to Woraksan National Park and Yeongbong Peak. The room was clean and had a modern design. The coffee at breakfast was also good. The hotel is not close to the city centre, so for restaurants and a livelier area you will probably need a taxi. The immediate neighbourhood is quite quiet and there is not much around. Breakfast was very basic: packaged instant noodles, sliced bread for toast, boiled eggs, carton milk and orange juice. Another issue was the bathroom light, which automatically switched off several times while we were showering, leaving the bathroom completely dark. This happened more than once and felt unsafe. We stayed on the third floor, at the end of the corridor, and every morning there was also a very strong unpleasant smell in the hallway, similar to cooked meat or food

The simple breakfast was nice. The floor cleaning was lacking, and it was disappointing that there was no wardrobe.

“Excellent stay”

Everything was clean, the property was new, the bed was comfortable, and the train station was within walking distance.

“Clean Hotel, poor breakfast.”

The room was clean and tidy, had a blackout window, gowns, toiletries, and bikes were stored in the garage. We booked at $55 AUD but were charged $60 on arrival—be careful with taxes. Breakfast was underwhelming: only two cereals, no yogurt or fruit, white bread with one jam and butter, minimal juice, orange, boiled eggs, and no tea.

“Very happy we chose this property as we biked through Korea”

The room was excellent, offering great value, and there were plenty of small restaurants nearby.
