The lodge was amazing; Solange welcomed us warmly and the room we got was great—very clean, with a fridge, plenty of outlets, and lukewarm water in the shower. The breakfast was delicious, featuring a wood‑fire stove, strawberry juice, breads, traditional Minas sweets, pão de queijo, coffee with milk, and the option to cook eggs right on the stove. The view and surrounding area are breathtaking, with quiet, clean air, green mountains, and wildlife—absolutely top.

It’s hard to say what’s good. The bathroom is barely acceptable, lacking a shower head, and the shower enclosure has no barrier so water drips over the edge; a mop was provided for guests to pull water from the shower area. The shower’s electrical installation is exposed and there’s no hose for a shower head. The room is cramped, and the accommodation feels very rustic and poorly finished.

Solange makes a wonderful coffee that even made us return just to taste it again. She and Zezé are very welcoming, the place is calm, and it’s close to the city center.
