“you canot sleep in this property, staf start lowd talking 4 am and wediing miusic strat 6 am”

The villa’s design is nice, but the owner clearly doesn’t understand hospitality. It’s not a hotel, villa, or Walauwa – it’s a wedding venue, so it’s unsuitable for guests who want to sleep. If the place accepts room bookings but refuses them when a wedding is happening, that shows the owners think they’re experts just because they own this type of property, which is a problem in Sri Lanka.

The garden was amazing and the staff were fantastic… but it could have been a bit cleaner.

The breakfast was good, but the location is terribly bad unless you have a car, and it’s still far from Kandy.

“MERVEILLEUX”

This house is simply stunning; it sits a little away from the bustle of Kandy, transporting us back to another era. The décor creates a unique atmosphere. We were welcomed by the housemaster as if we were family, an timeless greeting. We stayed two nights and were lucky to enjoy delicious dinners and discover Sri Lankan cuisine. The breakfasts were excellent, and on the second morning we were surprised with a sumptuous garden breakfast. Delicacy and kindness are the key words for the staff. I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel that truly exceeded my expectations in terms of its beautiful atmosphere and lovely surroundings. The spacious and well-furnished room was a delight to stay in, and the friendly and helpful staff made our stay even more enjoyable. However, I did find the dinner prices to be a bit steep, and the hotel's location made it difficult to get around without a vehicle.
