A beautiful rural apartment in the Scottish mountains. I loved the hotel’s story and its setting. There’s a bar‑restaurant where the food is excellent and you can enjoy local beer or whisky. The only downside for those with mobility issues is that the rooms are on the second floor, requiring stairs; otherwise, there’s nothing to note.

If you’ve ever wanted to experience hygge, this place is the ultimate example, and I can’t think of any downside.

The only hotel nearby, and I was pleasantly surprised—owners were close, but the pub staff gave us a warm welcome. The room was great, and the diner was amazing; we even had a pint in the evening (book early because it gets busy). Breakfast was self‑service but offered plenty of choices, and I enjoyed eating outside with a view of the Scottish Munros—what a way to start the day!
