The shared bathroom wasn’t listed as part of the chosen option when I booked. The room had a glass door, the shared bathroom also had a glass door, and the breakfast only offered mediocre pastries.

The spot is convenient, just a walk to the train station and the town centre, and the building itself looks lovely with good sound‑proof windows. However, to access the ‘private’ bathroom we had to leave the room, walk down a hallway, turn two corners, and use a key to unlock it, even though we paid extra for it. The included breakfast was bland: soft white rolls wrapped in plastic, two donuts, and coffee, with no water or juice. When I called the owner about the reserved private bathroom, he started yelling at us. I also reached out to Bookings.com twice, but they never responded.

The apartment description didn’t say that it’s split into rooms with a single shared bathroom. The Italian breakfast consists of a packaged brioche and a coffee.

It’s a short walk from Modena Train Station and other sights. The bathroom isn’t in the room; it’s down a hallway past other guests’ rooms, so you can hear them using it at night. The neighbourhood isn’t pleasant. Initially the owner was friendly and helpful, but when he checked in other guests, the door got accidentally locked from the inside and he slammed it and shouted at us, even though he had my number to call; when we opened the door he was very rude and yelled at my husband.

The host was very friendly. The place is very close to Modena Central Station and there is an elevator. The breakfast was awful: pre‑packaged cake and coffee, missing juice, bread, eggs, and spreads. It’s expensive for what you get.
