The central location is clean and the host Valentina is great; I recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Marzamemi.

The location is outstanding, right in the heart of Marzamemi, with a café and almond pastries included as a nice touch. The slippers were comfortable and handy. On the downside, parking is mandatory and paid, and there were a lot of mosquitoes.

The spot is near the center and the main parking lots. In July 2026, the property booked on Booking as “Simo’s House” turned out on site to be run under the name “Calipso.” The lack of transparency and the platform’s failure to update listings created clear misleading advertising. The five‑night stay was a disaster: the room was never cleaned, trash bins were never emptied for five days, and the host demanded we leave the keys outside the door for access, which is unacceptable for security. Clean linens were only delivered the night before checkout. When I asked for two soft pillows, only one was given. The host didn’t respond to any official requests. The experience was terrible for both the property and the lack of protection and verification for Genius customers.
