Everything was pretty good, but the road in front of the door was a bit rough.

The breakfast was freshly made with a great variety, and I loved the view from the upstairs breakfast room; the secluded property felt safe and away from the bustle, and the host was extremely helpful and kind. The only downside was that the “kitchenette” and “laundry” are not DIY; the kitchen isn’t fully equipped, so you need to ask the host for knives, a chopping board, a colander, etc., and they’ll gladly provide them.

I’d highly recommend staying here. The family owners are lovely and thoughtful, went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed, and made the stay truly special. They have a beautiful vegetable garden I could pick from, brought coffee and sweet treats daily, and made me feel at home. The suite was spacious, clean, the building is new and well maintained, and the property is beautiful and peaceful with views of mountains, rice fields, and a pond next door. They offer motor scooter rentals, there are several stores on the main road nearby, and they have a laundry service. I didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to return. Thank you for such a warm welcome!

I was expecting a lot more from this homestay, but unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown. The location is super remote, making it hard to get around. Even going out for breakfast requires a taxi, and the ride-hailing apps don't always work. The host rents out old motorcycles, which are not safe on the poor roads in Luang Prabang. My husband fell off twice in two days, and the second time he broke his collarbone.
