“Un vrai joyau!”

A true marvel! My boyfriend and I spent an entire week here and fell completely under the spell of this bungalow overlooking the sea. Miriam was adorable and, since we were the only guests upon arrival, she surprised us by giving us a larger house 😁 Her communication is excellent, the place is easy to find, and then we are completely independent. Her Italian husband Alessandro cooks wonderfully; we tried his pizzas, pasta, breakfast, and dessert, and it was a real romantic dinner that the hosts offered us. The bungalow is really pleasant: spacious, clean, quiet, with a good shower and a powerful fan, enough to store our stuff, a real little house, and with the terrace, its chairs and hammock overlooking the town below and the sea, it’s simply breathtaking, and sublime to wake up there every morning and watch the city at night… For info, there’s a small shared kitchen available if needed. The accommodation is well located, right across from the main square of Mancora, so that when you go down, you’re immediately by the sea. A huge thank you to our hosts for letting us spend the end of our vacation in such a magical way, your place is miraculous, and we thank you for your kindness and excellent cuisine 😋

“Aussicht super, der Rest miserabel”

The view is incredible. We had arranged with the host to drop off our backpacks at 6:00, but after ringing and texting, we waited an hour until another guest opened the door. We then stored our luggage ourselves and went to the beach. On the second day we had to open for two guests because no one came at the agreed check‑in time despite ringing. Breakfast was included. It is rated very well and should cost 17 Soles per person per day (total 68 Soles). On the first day we were told we had to prepare breakfast ourselves. It included 4 eggs, a few moldy strawberries, a mango, and 2 breads. I could buy those for 4 Soles at the market. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, we were assured it would be different the next day. Unfortunately it was the same and without an apology. When we didn’t accept that, we demanded a refund for breakfast. After a lot of effort, over an hour, they wouldn’t give it to us because they had listed the wrong price for breakfast on Booking, having already bought for the second breakfast and wanted to charge us for kitchen use. We used the kitchen to cook the four raw eggs on the first day. The kitchen also had a barely working stove and a frying pan without a handle… This is simply fraud. With the water there were problems, so on the first day we couldn’t use the toilet or shower multiple times. The mosquito net had so many holes it was useless. We were bitten a lot at night. We’ve been traveling for 7 months and have never experienced such unfriendly hosts.

Miriam was very kind and the WhatsApp communication was generally good. The room was clean, looked like the photos, and the whole property is very pretty. The view is especially beautiful. We also appreciated that Miriam cared about our concerns and later arranged a hammock with a view for us. Unfortunately, they gave us another room without prior notice, different from the one we had booked. Also, before arriving we didn’t know we had to walk about 5 minutes uphill on a stone path, without a railing and with little lighting. Handling luggage was a bit difficult.

The setting is peaceful, perfect for unwinding from the noise near the beach, warm, spacious, and free of distractions. The hostess is sweet and attentive. We’re happy, and we had an amazing honeymoon!
