The view from our room was absolutely incredible! The facilities were clean and comfortable. Our room was enormous, and most of all, the hosts were the kindest, most genuine and generous people we had met. Thank you so much for having us and making us feel so welcome.

I’ve stayed here several times and finally got a break from city noise, enjoying a relaxed pace. The view from the room is spectacular, and the staff are friendly, making this a great place to stay.

This ryokan is truly amazing. After disembarking from the cable car, the beautiful street on which it sits takes your breath away. The staff greet you warmly with a smile and give you a tour of the facilities. The rooms are clean and offer a breathtaking view. We had a room with a toilet, but I’ll note that we also used the “public” toilets and everything was spotless. The chartered onsen is great if you’re shy and a good opportunity to relax with friends and family. The street it is on, unbeknownst to us, leads to Hosanji temple, which was well worth the visit and will possibly remain the highlight of our trip. There are a couple of restaurants on the street which are really good, too. Nothing was wrong, it was perfect. Other tourists might find the location difficult to get to, though I found that to be a plus!

Everything was literally great. The location is top notch – on top of the hill in the midst of nature, the sunrises and sunsets are marvelous and we followed them from our window. The ladies managing the ryokan are friendly, hospitable and very respectful. The breakfast was very traditional and tasty. The nearby city of Ikoma is easy to get to (via cute cable car) and is very cozy with nice people. Choosing a place with private onsen was our best decision so far in our travels across Japan. Definitely, I’ll come here again if I have the chance.
