Maleth House

I found the stay very pleasant. My two‑person room (yellow room) was on the ground floor and had a yellow door. The room is equipped with everything you could possibly need: coffee, tea, tea bags, sugar, cups, spoons, the necessary appliances, a bath with a shower head, a separate toilet, a spacious wardrobe, a vanity, a hair dryer, a fridge, air‑conditioning, and free strong Wi‑Fi. The space is more than enough for two people. I was alone. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. I was in Malta for a four‑day festival at various venues, and Maleth House is fairly central on main roads, which is very handy if you need a quick taxi (Bolt taxis are fast and inexpensive). In short, I give Maleth House a solid 9+ based on what you get for your money, hygiene, and the very friendly owner who is helpful and solution‑oriented. Nothing really disappointed me. I’m very satisfied and will definitely come back.

“Don't go (here).”

The AC bus stops are close, but the toilet didn’t flush and the bath was tiny so everything got wet. Wi‑Fi stopped working after we connected, and no one cleaned the bathroom; there was a lot of dust on the furniture and many moths. Mid‑stay we ran out of toilet paper and nobody supplied a new roll, so we had to use a bath’s hoe to flush. The owner didn’t reply on the booking app after the first day. A random creepy suitcase was under the bed, the floor was dirty, the door sometimes wouldn’t close and was hard to open, and the toilet brush was dirty.

The location is great and the accommodation overall feels nice and comfortable. At one point the toilet’s flushing stopped working; when I reached out to the owner I received no response. A broken toilet is a big issue, especially with a shared bathroom, so I don’t understand the lack of communication.

“Non molto pulito purtroppo..”

Il climatizzatore e la vicinanza ai mezzi di trasporto sono buoni, ma la stanza non era pulita: il pavimento era polveroso e sporco, il bagno aveva capelli e peli di altre persone, e le lenzuola non sembravano pulite. Il letto è scomodo e piccolo. Il bagno manca di porta, ha solo una tenda che non blocca la luce, e non ci è stato fornito sapone per le mani. Con Booking mi è stato offerto gratuitamente un upgrade a una camera Deluxe; non riesco a immaginare cosa fosse quella “normale”.

“Peaceful location with comfortable accommodation”

The location is peaceful, the room is large, and the air‑conditioning works well. The room felt cozy with the furniture, and the code system for the doors was reliable. However, the curtains were very transparent when light was on behind them, making the toilet awkward and giving us a feeling of vulnerability on the ground floor. The bed was squeaky, so earplugs helped. Replacing bedding and towels would have improved a longer stay.
