Hōryū‑ji is literally right in front of the hotel, and because the area restricts buildings taller than two stories there are no high rises, which made the stay very peaceful. I enjoyed the talk show, slideshow and guided tour, and the room was spotless. It was a completely satisfying one‑night, two‑day visit, and I’d love to return with meals included next time I go to Hōryū‑ji.

It’s close to Hōryū‑ji and they have a guide for the temple, which was convenient.

The food was delicious, the broth was flavorful, and the dishes matched the presentation perfectly, making it an excellent kaiseki experience.
